Erm, a question.

Overheard in the pub last night from a group of older ladies:

“The stuffing is coming out of my old purse.”

*yeah that’ll be all the receipts you’ve collected since you got it in 1976*

Also overheard:

“My new purse isn’t worn in yet.”

So my question is this, do purses require a statutory wearing in period? If so how long is it?
